I am legit worried about our Final. I'm not going to get lightening with the Malamute, and I'm not sure how we will make the 40' RoF. This one is going to be really difficult, Roxanne.
ReplyDeleteKat, I am not interested in lightning speed with a retrieve for a Malamute. I am wanting her to 'launch on command and keep working' till she finds her db and retrieves it to hand. To note, this Final EXAM is not in a tunnel, rather it is done in the absence of distractions other than what shows up like nature such as wind, leaves, etc.
ReplyDeleteYou and Niko CAN do this. Persistence is best. Know that Niko only needs simple, i.e. touch her ear in warmup to remember you WILL MOST CERTAINLY DO AN EC if she fails to launch or complete the retrieve as trained to do. Also, recognize that the more EC's initially, the less likely she is to launch immediately or complete the retrieve as trained to do.
