Thanks,

It all started in Tulsa Oklahoma on Jan. 25, 1957. Just kidding😃 my journey started with a 2 1/2 month old Golder Retriever. I asked at Richfield vet clinic about training and they referred me to Roxanne. Unfortunately Trixie had some problems and I had to get rid of her. Roxanne was kind enough to set up a puppy test with a liter of labs. I picked Riley (AKA) HOW. The nickname the ladies gave Riley. A couple months into the training I had some health issues and was going to quit. Roxanne, Jesse, Mary, and Trina took on the task of training her for me. They are all awesome. Now I am trying to get trained to be a handler too. It’s been a great time and I am sure I will get there. My expectations were not high at first as Riley is HOW, but now I am very pleased how it is coming along. My idea through the retriever course is to gain Riley’s respect as a handler and have her learn a soft mouth and obedience to me. I have no doubt this will happen, and I may just take up bird hunting. Thanks to all of you for the great job you do.
ReplyDeleteBuck, it took me a minute to remember what HOW stood for but when I did, I giggled. She sure is a ball of energy! ☺️❤️
